Singing Workshops
Singing can be a great detox for the body, mind and soul. Doctors are even prescribing singing groups to ease emotional and mental stress. Exercising the singing voice can help to develop and strengthen the speaking voice in addition to giving you the confidence to audition for your local choir if you should wish to!
For singers and ‘non singers’, these uplifting workshops are designed to strengthen your voice , promote relaxation and improve health and wellbeing. The music is a combination of familiar folk, gospel and popular songs and new simple songs in rounds and part harmonies. I always include breathing exercises, body alignment, vocal projection and vocal toning with the aim of releasing any built up tension in the body so that you can free your natural voice. No solos required!
I have run these regularly in Bristol and Swindon over the past 6 years and the A.T.L. are now utilising them nationwide for wellbeing for teachers.
